That’s why we say, “sin maíz no hay país,” meaning that our country and our culture would not thrive without corn.

🌽 When it comes to our stone-ground masa, corn tortillas, tostadas, and totopos, we value quality every step of the way!

🌽 At Tortilleria Taiyari, we only use simple, natural ingredients. We follow the traditional Nixtamal method and only source high-quality corn from sustainable, native corn farmers in Mexico and certified organic farmers in The Netherlands.

Looking back at yesterday’s Mexican Independence day celebration in Amsterdam gives us goosebumps. Seeing so many Mexicans united in one place to celebrate our beautiful country is extraordinary.

We are so happy to see the Mexican community in the Netherlands grow and to have so many amigos from other cultures celebrating the richness of our country and the pride we have for our people, our music, traditions, gastronomy.

🇲🇽 Mexican Independence day is just a few days away! 🇲🇽 September 16th is one of the most important dates in Mexico and a time for Mexicans to come together to celebrate our freedom and our cultural heritage.

For that reason, together with The Hap, we've prepared three special menus so you can get the Mexican fiesta started:
1. Chicken tacos al Pastor
2. Tamales with chicken in black mole sauce
3. Tostadas de Jackfruit al Pibil

Each menu serves 3 people and comes with totopos, salsa verde and churros with cinnamon and chocolate sauce as dessert. 😋
