We've waited a long time but great things take time (swipe right to see the growing process, from seed to harvest). Tortilleria Taiyari is honored to work alongside Mexican farmers who grow heirloom corn.

Corn is the base of Mexican food 🌽🌽🌽
Within the Mexican cuisine, there are countless dishes that are prepared with corn: gorditas, tostadas, tacos, tamales, enchiladas, quesadillas, chilaquiles, and the list goes on!

Elotes (corn on the cob) topped with mayo, sour cream, fresh cheese and seasoned with chilly powder and lime is one of the most popular street foods in Mexico. Have you tried them? 🙋‍♀️🙋

They are perfect for a summer barbecue and making them is super simple! We leave you the recipe here: 👇

INGREDIENTS:
-Sweet Corn
-Cotija cheese (feta is a good replacement)
-Mayonaise
-Sour cream
-Lime

DIRECTIONS:
1. First, remove the husks from the corn.
2. Then, cook the corn: add the corn to the boiling water and cook until the kernels are tender and golden (about 10 min).
3. Add the toppings: Spread 1 tbsp of mayonnaise onto each cob, then sprinkle with chili powder, cheese and lime.
